REFRIGERATE OR FREEZE UPON RECEIPT.
Keep refrigerated after reconstitution.
Allow 24 hours for the peptide to settle before beginning your research.
All products contain sodium chloride for dilution.
Freeze-dried powder can be stored at -20
degrees C for a year. Reconstituted
solution should be kept in the
refrigerator at 2-8 degrees C and used as
early as possible.
Acetate acid can improve the stability of the solution. Avoid multiple
freeze-thaw cycles and exposure to
frequent for lyopilized powder or reconstituted vials.
Research Profile:
Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6 (GHRP-6) is
one of several synthetic met-enkephalin analogs that include
unnatural D-amino acids, were developed for their growth hormone
(GH) releasing activity and are called GH secretagogues. These
secretagogues are distinct from growth hormone releasing hormone
(GHRH) in that they share no sequence relation and derive their
function through action at a completely different receptor.
GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide which stimulates the release
of Growth Hormone. It accomplishes this by two totally separate
mechanisms. On the one hand, it amplifies natural Growth Hormone
Releasing Hormone (GHRH) signal transduction pathway, and on
the other hand, acts as a functional antagonist of the hormone
which causes inhibition of GH secretion (somatostatin) (1-3). |
